Marketing and Communications Specialist
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Marketing and Communications Specialist to join this new organisation and new team. Reporting to the Director you will be the VOICE of ConCOVE.
Context
The Centre of Vocational Excellence (CoVE) is new initiative funded by the Government for the Construction and Infrastructure Industries. This brand-new organisation has been tasked by TEC (Tertiary Education Commission) to engage with the NZ Construction & Infrastructure sector to understand their workforce needs. The Construction and Infrastructure Industries Centre of Vocational Excellence (ConCOVE) hosted by the Manukau institute of Technology, (MIT) will be researching and recommending vocational education tools and training to meet the sectors workforce needs. We’ll be looking at career progression, technology, apprenticeships, diversity and sustainability.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Marketing and Communications Specialist to join this new organisation and new team. Reporting to the Director you will be the VOICE of ConCOVE engaging in the planning and delivering positive engagement between ConCOVE and a wide range of employers and organisations within the NZ Construction & Infrastructure sector. This role will develop and execute key messages through a variety of channels reaching varied audiences.
There will be a lot of external engagement where you can create some magic with good news stories. show-casing ConCOVE’s research progress, and key initiatives across its five project streams: Career Framework, Disruption, Learning, Productivity, Diversity, and Sustainability. You will work closely with the Project Leads supporting them with their marketing requirements, polishing up reports and developing internal and external communications.

Ideally the successful applicant will bring generalist all round marketing and communication experience in a similar role and success in government or education entities to enable them to hit the ground running.
