Heather MacKay
Board Member
Heather MacKay is the Director Industry Partnerships at Unitec and has over 10 years’ experience as a Senior Manager in vocational and tertiary education. Heather’s early training was in engineering, working across a range of businesses in the manufacturing sector with a focus on productivity and environmental performance improvement.
She then managed business-led change projects in sustainability including a key national response proposal to improve the performance of the existing housing stock. This work highlighted the need to ensure our workforce has the skills and capabilities to implement lasting change and improve productivity and performance. Heather’s recent work and support of the construction sector has focused on workforce initiatives designed to align vocational education with industry and community needs.
